Travel Tips
FLIGHTS
Where to Land: Benito Juarez International Airport
Commute to & from: 30-40 minutes from El Zocalo
"El Zocalo" is considered the heart of the city, it is walkable so you do not have to have a car rented to get around, just a taxi or uber to get you here after you land. it is very walkable, there are closed down streets just for pedestrians and lots to explore in this area. It is busy, but still safe. There are shops, food, museums, parks and vendors all around you to enjoy.
There are taxis and ubers you may take from the airport, we recommend having a transportation app downloaded to ensure this process is seamless and stress-free for you. keep in mind that there is always traffic in Mexico City, so expect delays in getting to El Zocalo and where you are staying after you land.
Transportation Apps: Uber, Didi, inDrive
HOTELS
Here are three hotel options that are affordable, beautiful, and within walking distance of both the church and the venue.
Depending on what hotel you stay at, they may have 24-hour shuttle service to and from the airport.
I included an airbnb option as well! if you choose to go this route, please make sure you stay near "El Palacio de Bellas Artes" and near "El Zocalo" to ensure you stay walking distance to our church and wedding venue.

HONEYMOON FUND
Your presence at our wedding is truly the greatest gift of all. While gifts are absolutely not expected, for those who have kindly asked, a contribution toward our honeymoon fund would mean so much to us as we begin this new chapter together.
BEFORE THE WEDDING ANTES DE LA BODA
QUICK FASHION TIPS: Please keep in mind that in Mexico city, the streets are mostly cobble stone, especially where we will be. Avoiding needle heels, and opting for a thicker/block heel would be best for women. Breaking in new dress shoes or wearing broke in dress shoes, would be the most ideal situation for men.
Our wedding dress code is Semi-formal, Men are expected to wear suits and dress shirts. Women are expected to wear semi-formal dresses at or below the knees.
WEATHER: The weather during this time of year is warm! mid 70's to 80's most days. Expect some rainy days as well although a light jacket will be more than enough.
You will be walking a lot, bring comfortable shoes! it is also very dusty in the city so avoid whites if you can.
Please remember to apply sunscreen often, you will be exposed to more UV rays while in Mexico (I wouldn't be a good nurse if I didn't mention this!).
KEEP IN MIND: You can bring your valuables, just keep to yourself and keep them in mind. The city is a relatively safe area, but it is busy. I suggest bringing a cross body bag that can fit your valuables, all the cool gifts you buy and then some!
